PREMIERE OF ANIMATED FILM "Fire is no joke" and ROUND TABLE "Extreme weather conditions, agriculture and wildfires"

The goal of HAgMD is to approach our agrometeorological research and research about the protection of forest against fire in a professionally-popular way. We do not want the public to be afraid of bombastic statements. Therefore, the purpose of our lectures is to provide users with objective information on how climate change impacts our agricultural production and the potential danger of wildfires, and how to adapt and mitigate their consequences.

The information that the public receives are most often researches that are related to global climate change but we still do not hear enough about which changes are happening in our area.. Public media are asking us for interviews, statements, and/or articles in agricultural or environmental journals, daily newspapers, radio and TV. This has prompted us to organize the premiere of the animated film "Fire is no joke" in Zagreb and the Round table "Extreme weather conditions, agriculture and wildfires" in cooperation with ecology and agro journalists of the Croatian Journalists' Association in order to gave the public and journalists timely information on the climate change that is happening to us and the projections we expect in the future.
