Promotion of the book Plants that Tell the Weather

There have already been four promotions of the first published book of the Croatian Agrometeorological Society, Plants that Tell the Weather by meteorologist Marko Vučetić. The first promotion was held in Križevci, the cradle of modern Croatian agrometeorology, on March 18, 2021, organized by their Branch of Matica hrvatska and the Križevci College of Agriculture. Those present were greeted by the president of the Branch, Renata Husinec and the dean, Dr. Marijana Ivanek-Martinčić. The book's editor, Dr. Višnjica Vučetić and author spoke about the book, and selected excerpts were read by Martina Valec Rebić and Danijela Zagorec.

On the summer evening of August 19, 2021, in the special ambiance of Habilal Lucić's summer house in Hvar, the book Plants that Tell the Weather was presented again. Around 60 participants were greeted by Zorka Bibić on behalf of the Hvar City Library and the director of the Hvar Heritage Museum, Nives Tomasović who organized the promotion of the book. The editor of the book informed the attendees about the creation of the book, and the author of the book presented the most interesting parts of the book in order to attract his Hvar people to read it.

The Croatian Agrometeorological Society (HAgMD) promoted the book in the Bogdan Ogrizović Library in Zagreb on October 27, 2021. The welcoming address was given by the president of HAgMD, Prof. Damir Barčić. Editor and reviewers Prof. Željko Španjol and Prof. Vladimir Hršak spoke about the origin and special features of the book, and the author presented more interesting sketches from the book.

HAgMD together with the City of Rab organized the fourth promotion of the book in the City Hall in Rab on November 30, 2022. President of HAgMD Prof. Damir Barčić and the head of the Administrative Department, Denis Deželjin, on behalf of the City of Rab, greeted the attendees, and the book's editor briefly explained the contents of the book. Two Rab men, reviewer Prof. Željko Španjol and designer Mladen Šćerbe they are especially responsible for the publication of that book. The reviewer emphasized the importance of the book in terms of the source of forgotten information and man's desire to penetrate the secrets of nature. The designer emphasized the value of the book's graphic design, as the textual part is accompanied and enriched by numerous photographs of plants. At the end, the author vividly presented the book by telling several tragic ancient myths about plants. The artistic program was enriched by the Eufemija klapa.
