Short animated film “The fire is no joke”

At the opening of the 8^th professional counseling of Croatian Firefighting Association in Dubrovnik Marijana Miljas Đuračić presented the animated film "The fire is no joke." The film was made by Croatian Agrometeorological Society in partnership with Public Institution for Management of Protected natural Areas of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The film was inspired by great forest fires that had ravaged the Pelješac peninsula and the island of Korčula in July 2015.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Prefect of Dubrovnik-Neretva County Nikola Dobroslavić, Deputy Mayor of Dubrovnik Željko Raguž, Head of the Croatian Fire Association MSc. Željko Popović, and on behalf of the host president and commander of the Firefighting Association of Dubrovnik-Neretva County Ivo Franušić and Stjepan Simović. The event was attended by about 200 participants from all over Croatia. During the break we received positive reviews for the animated film and some participants expressed interest in showing the film within their community.
