Within the programme Agrometeorology in the service to the users, we held eight agrometeorological seminars for pupils and students as well as agrometeorological workshop „Environmental protection, wildfires and agriculture“ for farmers, agronomists, foresters, fire fighters and nature protectors in Opuzen, March 6, 2015. Patron of the workshop was the Ministry of Environment and Nature Protection. For students in higher grades of the primary school and high school students, we held two agrometeorological seminars „Protecting our forest against fires“ and „Protect forests, our natural treasure, against fires“. In cooperation with the Scientific Council for Environmental Protection of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, we organized round table titled „Climate, soil, water and agriculture“on December 4, 2015. Financial support for the mentioned activities was obtained from the City of Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik-Neretva County and Croatian Forests Ltd., Head of Forest Management Unit Split.

Working plan and Financial plan for 2016 was adopted on the 5th Annual assembly which was held via e-mail on December 17 to 22, 2015 due to the fact that the plans should be adopted by the end of the last year. The new project „Agrometeorological Mosaic“ has been initiated for the youth in the framework of which we are preparing production of animated film with the working title „Fire, violent enemy of forests“ and „Primary school of forest fire“ for the youngest children of school age up to 10 years.

We will continue to maintain agrometeorological seminars for pupils and students and we are planning agrometeorological workshop for farmers and fire fighters. For members of the HagMD, we will organize an expert tour in the Vipava Valley in Slovenia. At the beginning of this year, City of Zagreb helped us financially to improve and complement the website of the HAgMD.
